Western Distribution and city officials saw that a cold storage facility would provide many local food processors with the ability to hold raw food product next to vital shipping routes.

WDS searched for a contractor capable of meeting the complex demands of a project containing a diverse set of needs. Tippmann Innovation met the variety of construction demands and built a cold storage facility accommodating for 15,000 pallet positions, drive-in dock doors, and Tippmann’s QF+ In-Rack Freezing System. The building’s access to shipping routes, sustainable technology initiatives, and vast job creation for community members turned this dream into a reality for WDS, while providing significant impacts for the Seattle community at-large.
