Ti Cold is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team.

In this role, the Assistant Project Manager will:

  • Review work orders and blueprints/schematic drawings and assist in developing a schedule of events and activities to coordinate the project. Direct work activities of employees as schedule dictates
  • Resolve work problems and/or recommend changes in procedures or methods to improve performance.
  • Communicate and enforce company policies, practices, safety rules and regulations.
  • Provide training and instruction to personnel. Suggests methods to improve personnel performance, development and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding work orders, changes/extras, personnel time, expenses and materials receipts/requisitions and reports status on a weekly schedule.
  • Conduct initial accident investigations, complete reports and correct.
  • Inspect job site/work areas, tools/equipment, materials and work quality to ensure safe standards, specifications and requirements are acceptable.
  • Attend job and/or safety meetings and communicate information.
  • Promote good working relationships with facility personnel, subcontractor/contractor personnel, and customers.
  • Monitor performance and attitude of workers.
  • Perform activities of supervised workers under necessary circumstances.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems related to employee activities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree with 1-3 years related experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or similar field preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, reach, and talk or hear. It will be necessary to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Sometimes exposed to wet and/or cold, humid conditions, and outside weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in high precarious places. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Ti Cold is looking for a construction intern candidate that is passionate about construction, detail oriented, team focused, and hard-working.

The intern will work in unison with the onsite construction team to guarantee that a full range of construction activities are completed successfully and efficiently. The level of involvement will depend on specific project needs, needs of the onsite team, and your individual abilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      • Interface effectively with staff, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
      • Aid in the day-to-day management of overall project operations.
      • Help to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
      • Assist with maintenance of all daily work documentation and other project paperwork, submitting all as required on a timely basis
      • Monitor the daily and overall schedule, work with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain the schedule.
      • Supervise onsite construction activities in conjunction with the project manager.
      • Monitor and report the daily/weekly local weather.

Education/Knowledge Requirements

      • Basic knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, etc.) as well as an understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities.

Required Skills

      • Capability to work independently as well as with a team of professionals.
      • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
      • Strong written and verbal skills. Ability to read, write, and interpret reports, manuals, and correspondence.
      • Ability to effectively present to groups of people including employees, subcontractors, and vendors.
      • Self-starter with a proactive approach who can adapt easily to a fast-paced environment.
      • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task

Work Environment

      • Normally works in an environment with loud noise.
